Our family has been operating provably viticulture since the generation of Georg Hörmann (born in 1751). In 1999 we, Gerald Milanovich-Hörmann und Ute Hörmann, took over the winery from the parents, Werner und Helene Hörmann, which already was the main livelihood at this time.
In the year 2006 we decided to shift to organic viticulture. Meanwhile 12 hectares of vineyards are cultivated by our family business.
Organic Winery
Our vineyards are located around the village of Mailberg in the Weinviertel. The grapes can mature very well here, because of the wind-protected locations, getting a lot of sunshine until late autumn and best soil and climate conditions.
Discover and enjoy our em-organic wines as a way of refreshing, balancing and relaxing. A good wine awakens the necessary humility to nature, which has united with human. This is the basic of our philosophy.


Vineyard
Our vineyards are cultivated with natural planting agents, we produce by fermentation of herbs, chili, garlic an other natural ingredients.
By using fermented compost, fertilisation and effective microorganisms (em) in our vineyards, we have restored the original, natrual biology of the soil. Effective microorganisms (em) are a mixture of foodbacteria that live in symbiosis with each other and have an unfavorable effect on humans, animals and plants.
Wine Cellar
You will find pure nature (unadulterated naturalness) and uniqueness in our wines.
The hand-picked, gently pressed grapes are matured on the sediment in small wooden barrels as well as in stainless steel tanks. With yeast from the grapes itself, we produce em-organic wines of highest quality, without after-treatment of the must and no influence on the fermentation process, which are also suitable for vegans.
